New Career

We knew something was up when Debbie set off the alarms at the office on a Sunday.  Turns out she was trying to get into Richard's computer so she could (drum roll) fire him on Monday.  Over the phone. 

I will skip all the drama and just say that Richard seemed like a huge weight had been lifted.  And on Tuesday, Debbie got a full reminder of just how much RIchard does.  He negotiated a severance, clarified the rumor Debbie was spreading about him resigning, and hopefully this can be the end of a very stressful chapter in all of our lives and the beginning of something beautiful and new.

Tonight, Oliver played doctor. Richard was his first patient.  Oliver had to do a scan to see what was wrong. He shared the scan results with all of us (see image). Diagnosis: Cat Scratch. He then gave Richard a flu shot, washed the blood off his arm, placed a small cone over his nose and said, "Okay. Now, scream."

Your dad

I say "your dad" and "your sister" so often that Oliver thought it was a title, so he would call them Your Dad and Your Sister to anyone he talked about them too.  We are trying to work on pronouns now and the difference between MY dad and YOUR dad.  He is doing great but gets so turned around sometimes that he just stops and says "Richard."
