Quarantine Journals - Fever Gone

Oliver slept much better, his fever broke, and he was in a great mood yesterday morning. It didn't span all day, we definitely had some major meltdowns, but overall it was a much welcomed improvement.

In the afternoon, we went outside, and that helped. It was 96 degrees. They played in the pool, and when they wanted to get out, I brought out the reusable water balloons. We wrapped up the day with showers and a movie.

Quarantine Journals - Impeachment

On Wednesday, President Trump was impeached for the second time. The debate and boats went on all day long. I spent the day on and off listening to the speeches and crying. I could not listen to a single one of them without weeping. I didn't expect to get that emotional, but obviously I did. And then there were the speeches by the people saying that we just needed unity and to move forward, and that was like a whole new level of devastation. Oh, did I mention that several senators are now coming down with Covid because they were in a safe room with Republicans who refuse to put masks on? So they held the vote at the end of the day, and only 10, maybe 17? Republicans voted to impeach him. The rest of them either didn't vote, or voted against impeachment. All the Democrats voted for impeachment. Mitch McConnell says he's in sport in support of impeachment but that he won't bring the Senate back into session to do the hearings. Quarantine Journal - Website, Coup, Collapse of our government

Chronologically, I will just jump in here with the update because it has been a horrific first week of 2021. Tuesday, during my therapy session I received an email from my web guy, Paul.  He is quitting.  They are putting some kind of tax on him in the UK that makes continuing his business impossible, and he doesn't feel like my project aligns with his long term goals, and so he is basically walking away.  We have been working on this website for 10 freaking months, and it is no where near where it should be for that insane amount of time, not even if you give 50% away for covid.  I am utterly floored that this is basically happening again.  The beginning of the year, and I am shit out of luck on finishing a website that someone started and then half ass worked on for nearly a year.  I contacted Tom, who didn't have much to say.
