Beach Day 3
It was a great day. The weather was fairly mild, lovely with the ocean breeze. Overcast. Now that the storms are calming down, the water is a little clearer, but still pretty cloudy. We caught some hermit crabs (Hermie and Floo), caught some very very small fish, and watched some larger fish feeding off of the surface of the water… That was a new one for me! Then I stepped on something, I'm guessing a large fish, and it caught me in between the toes with its fin. It hurt pretty bad then, but it's not bothering me as much now. We ended up renting a golf cart, and we are driving it right down to the beach with all of our stuff on it. It's eliminated the mosquito attacks on the walk back, and allowed us to explore the beach a little further. Yesterday, I went to a local seafood market, and got some fresh shrimp, fresh grouper, and crabmeat. It was all really good. I don't think I've had grouper before! It was delicious. Oliver is tolerating it all well. It's been a great, exhausting day, and I'm a little bummed about leaving. I know Richard is too because he told me to call and try to add a day. Little did he know I already emailed and I know we can't. Aw well. Here's a few pics.
