Day 2, Beach Vacation

There was a looouuddd storm early in the morning. Massive winds, and downpour continued throughout the day. We eent to Galveston because it was raining, saw Moody Gardens (aquarium and rainforest). The ferry ride took forever getting there, in massive rain, but only minutes to get back. We saw dolphins both times, quite a few! They had fun at Moody and then we loaded back up to hit the beach once the rain had stopped. Spent a couple of hours out in the big waves. Oliver likes to get his face as close to the water as he can, frequently laying down, and waiting to get splashed. He didn't stop for a moment! Penny played in the sand and in the water. We dug a tide pool. I saw a fish jump once after a big wave but the water isn't clear enough to see much. Oliver's shoe washed off and we almost lost it for good. People ride golf carts up and down the beac
h. Richard wants to rent one and go explore. We bought some fresh shrimp and it was yummy. Mosquitos were swarming on the walk home... I was bit a few times. I guess we will have to spray down before we leave the beach next time. The kids were super excited to see all the frogs on the way home.
