Quarantine Journals - Distance Learning and Nature

It feels like every day there are more hoops added for the kids to jump through, and the math unit alone took all morning to get through.

I suggested a break to get outside before the rain starts up again, and so we headed out for SURPRISE a scavenger hunt. It was exciting and fun until we found some bugs and then we put the lists away so we could shift gears and get our hands dirty.

This evening, the governor extended the school closings state wide to May 4. But he said that he wasn't going to close down the churches, because they are "essential."

Oliver took another mega nap, and when he got up we all had quick leftover dinners, and then played some animal Crossing. After the video games were done, we all climbed into the floor and played the new bingo game that I got in the mail. I'm hoping that I can send my dad a digital bingo card and get him to play with us via FaceTime or zoom.

That's about all for today. I can't remember if I mentioned that I had slammed my finger in the door or not. It's still hurting very bad, extremely swollen, and spends all day throbbing with excruciating pain. I'm taking Advil every six hours, And hoping for the best. Couldn't take a shower or change my clothes tonight because it hurt too much to move my hand.

Tomorrow is Penny's first virtual/live class meeting. She's very excited, and I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees all of her classmates.
