Quarantine Journals - catch up
I haven't been writing much. My updates were usually done late at night, but the last few days I have felt so incredibly tired by the end of the day, I've just been focusing on trying to get to sleep.
Last night, I was in a serious spiral (mom anniversary) and cried until about 3AM. Richard let me sleep late and I woke up with my eyes swollen shut. I cried for half the day, and I had finally pulled it together when I got an email from Shutterfly reminding me of a great day 15 years ago, and I totally lost it.
I didn't feel tired tonight and now I'm still up.
Governor Abbott refused to mandate masks, but I guess someone in San Antonio found a loop hole where businesses could mandate masks, so they are now required again. He spent a lot of time blaming young people and non mask wearers for our huge rise in numbers, but doesn't want to do anything about it. Asshole. He's also announced that kids are going back to school shortly thereafter, but that there will be options for virtual schooling as well. Dumbass.
Meanwhile, Weatherford has been a drama dumpster fire as people call door the removal of a confederate monument. Idiots have been going it there with assault rifles to guard it, and the threads on Facebook are full of racism and hate. Two businesses were caught calling protestors monkeys and threatening to run them over.
Trump is a lunatic. He's posting trash videos full of doctored videos and getting flagged by twitter. He's holding his big rally in Tulsa despite even higher numbers there—no masks or distancing required. He tweeted that any protestors would be met with force unlike what they've seen anywhere else.
I'm getting event listings and the website is still in progress. I've gotten one update in the last month and it was for VERY minimal modifications. So I don't feel great about that.
Penny has been up 4 times in the last hour. So I'm going to go and hope she goes to sleep. I'll try to update more tomorrow.
We released Ladybug in the garden.
