Quarantine Journals - Chaos continues
Protest continue, and the police force seems to get more brazen and violent with each instance. There was a protest in Coppell today if it was peaceful, but it almost felt gross how involve the police were. This is about police brutality, so it seems strange to have them intertwined in every aspect of a protest. Anyway, obviously we did not participate because we are still sheltering in place. But I watched it from my phone and self in the ass and the people who are carefree enough to go.
Dallas continues to beat its record for infections and dust on a daily basis, and yet people are acting more and more relaxed About their social distancing and health precautions. I am Magine that we are going to see a huge increase in infections and deaths once we hit about 2 to 3 weeks from when the protesting started.
I talked to both Jan this morning and my dad this evening. I'm feeling a lot of anxiety about the month of June in general, with Oliver's birthday, and Father's Day, and my dad's birthday, and Brandon's birthday, and now we're supposed to drive by and wave till Gilberto on his birthday. Not to mention the fact that mom passed away in June… It's just a lot to process. Especially now that we're talking about going out to my dads house, possibly multiple times. It feels like we've gone from a peaceful, reliable routine of being here to a chaotic schedule full of milestones and guests to be purchased and arrangements to be made. I would really just like to unsubscribe from all of it.
We started setting up our outdoor hydroponic totes, and I'm getting the plants ready to go outside. We have multiple baby tomatoes, a baby strawberry, and a baby pepper. The gardens been very exciting, but I can also tell that Richard is getting fed up with the amount of time on spending on it. Which is kind of a shitty feeling when it seems to be the only peaceful distraction and me time that I ever get.
The kids spent hours outside in the pool this morning, and then we had dinner while watching a movie this evening. Oliver seems to be requiring more and more movements, exercise, and activity these last few days. He was begging me to set him up an obstacle course, so I did so while Richard got Penny to sleep. He ran all over the living room nonstop, foregoing his typical TV time, and expanding quite a bit of energy. He was ready for bed early, but really didn't end up getting to bed early because of the adults.
Anyway, more of the same I guess.
