Quarantine Journals - Nightmares

I had a dream last night that we were taking Penny up to a school. When we got there the teacher said "oh you decided to bring her?" And we were like "yeah, because you're doing a small school." But then I looked around and realized the teacher wasn't wearing a mask, and the kids weren't wearing masks, and I look down and Penny wasn't wearing a mask, so I ended up telling her to come out of the house and I told her that we were going to have to leave. We started walking down the sidewalk, and then somehow ended up in like a big middle school and every classroom was full of kids, and they were kids sitting in the hallway with like a plastic tarp in front of them wearing masks, and we kept rushing to get back to the house, but for some reason the house was inside the school. So when we walked in there was already a class happening inside of our house and I was like "where are we going to do distance-learning if there are students inside of our house?" The entire dream was just panicked wandering from one corner to the next trying to get away from people, but there was no where to go because the people were in my house.

Which I guess isn't entirely false since there are contractors in my house right now. One of the people in the crowd with my mom. And I tapped on the shoulder and she turned around but she didn't really look at me. And I said that I missed her and she told me that I was her first love, and we hugged, but she was still staring off into the distance. And then Richard called and woke me up.

This is just the latest in a long string of pandemic induced nightmares that I've been having lately. I've had them where we are at some big gathering and I suddenly realize that no one is wearing facemask and try to rush out but can't because we're already surrounded by people. Last night, when we were trapped in the school, all I could think was that we weren't gonna be able to come over and see my dad for two weeks.  Right before we came out here, I had a dream that I was outside at my dads house and a bunch of people started walking out from behind the pond. One of them was Richard's high school friend, who is super conservative, gun toting, and probably racist. He came running when he realized that it was me, and I kept telling him to please keep a decent amount of space between us, but he kept charging up to me. I ended up running into the house and locking the door and telling Richard that his friend was being a jerk.
