Quarantine Journals: First Day of School

First day off distance learning in second grade today. We woke up early and went outside to take pictures. Penny said "what is that?!" And I had no idea what she was talking about. Turns out, there was a rat stranded in the pool. So we took pictures And then we saved the rat, lol.

School video: "Answer these questions about your workspace: What can I hear? What is behind me?"
Me: Don't answer those questions. 🤣🙈

Teacher: Find a quiet place to do your zoom. We don't want to see your little sister or little brother running by screaming.
(Oliver starts belching.)

The whole bit on setting up a workspace and taking a picture felt like a bit much to me. I know they are just trying their best to set kids up to succeed.  Penny was like "Where is all my stuff? I need to setup." And I was like "TADA YOU ARE ALREADY SETUP!"

Pro Tip: If your toddler yells "LOOK AT ME," something is probably happening that does not need to be publicly documented.

Kid: What meeting did you say it was that we were going to do the fun stuff?
Teacher: Right here. This is it.

Penny finished her work by noon and then we just waited for their end of day zoom. Apparently there's going to be more zooms coming because 3 wasn't enough. Wee.
