Quarantine Journals - Scared

A couple of days ago, Richard told me that he had a headache and he was not feeling well. Every time I asked him what was going on, he just said he had a headache and he was tired. Oliver hasn't been sleeping well the last few days, but Richard was really moping around with the man flu.

This evening, he texted me that he took his temperature in the back room and it was 99.5. And I instantly started freaking out. My dad has so many medical issues, he is the exact person that does not get to walk away from Covid. I kept asking Richard what his symptoms were, he just kept saying he had a headache and he was tired.  He barely moved all evening, just kind of lumping on the couch to lumping in the bed, but he said he drank a bunch of water, and I asked him if he could have like a sinus headache, and he was like "oh yeah. It's probably a sinus infection. This happens every year and it pretty much feels like this." So he got up and took some Sudafed.

All of this conversation is happening in the privacy of the background, and literally the minute that I walk out into the kitchen, trying to breathe deep and think of what I'm going to do, my dad asked me if I brought a thermometer, because his head hurts and he wants to see if he has a fever.

So I go wipe the thermometer off with rubbing alcohol, and I take my dad's temperature, but it's just reading 97.1. I took mine and that's what it was as well. So, Richard continued to man flew around the house, and now everybody's in bed and I'm just pacing back-and-forth in the Kitchen freaking out.

We haven't been around people though. We talked to Penny's teacher from across the Street two weeks ago on Thursday, but other than that, we haven't been around anyone.

Richard has gone to the house, but usually not until 24 hours after contractors have been there. He goes to an empty office on Saturday, and no one has been in there since Friday the night before.
