Quarantine Journals - Quick House Update

So the house should be done now, but I didn't have it in me to drive over there AGAIN today to look.  It was suppose to be done last Friday, but a trip over revealed a LONG list of items that were wrong or not finished, and it took them nearly all week and two more trips for me to make lists to get it finished.  In the end, Dan was being a jerk, and then he went out of town, and his boss took everything over.  His boss was far more efficient and thorough than Dan ever has been.  All the issues on my list were repaired including have to re grout the bathtub tile for a FOURTH TIME and replacing a shut off valve that didn't even work.  The cleaning crew came out on Thursday and today to clean up the gigantic effing mess that the reconstruction had left.  It took them two days and cleaning out the HVAC to get everything out from under the thick film of dust...  The majority of our belongings are still all in boxes, so there is a lot of unpacking and purging to be done.

At the end of the day, the remodel ended up costing over $70K, and I think a good $40K of that came out of our pockets.  Vomit. We went from "yay we finally have a savings account again" to "well, don't spend any money for the rest of this year" and having to dip into Richard's inheritance.

Sigh.

Here are some pictures I took a week or two ago, so it's not finished but it's also not full of boxes.
