Fwd: Quarantine Journals - House Saga Continues

See below. Sorry I can't keep up with this journal much lately. My mental health hasn't been great through all this.  They have cleaned the carpet twice and it's still effed up.  They scratched and broke the shower valve, and they are now just ignoring me.

Subject: Carpet Cleaning & Other Issues

Dan and Shane,

There are some issues that I would like to discuss.  Some of these we have already talked about via text, but I will include them here as well for the sake of being thorough.

Carpet
  • Sticky from adhesive - We have already discussed that a section of the carpet, from the bedroom door to the bathroom door, was not cleaned and is the reason behind this re-visit.  I am sick at my stomach to say that the sections that were cleaned are still sticky—there is no discernible difference between what was cleaned and what was missed in terms of the residue.  What does this mean and how do we resolve this issue?

Owner's Bathroom:
  • Shower, back corner ceiling? - I have no idea what is happening here?  There is another area that just looks like it's missing paint maybe, if you already have it out.

  • Shower valve crooked - tilted about 10 degrees to the right. When re-caulking, can you remove the old peeling caulk first, please?
  • Bathtub tile scratched- There is a substantial scratch on one tile.  Can you remind me what was used to remove the scratches on the other tiles?

  • Built in cabinets, eye level, left inside - Damage to interior of the cabinets. Assuming there's not much that can be done here?

  • Top two rows of tile are sunken in - on the right wall when facing the valve, look up.  Drywall was not leveled out before tiling the wall. We are aware there is no simple way to fix this now, but it was disappointing to discover and I wanted to make you aware of the situation. (Please do not take any action on this issue without us discussing it first.)

  • Quick questions—is the can light fully seated?
  • What kind of finish pen are you using on the shower fixtures, please? I would like to get one to touch up a couple of areas that were scratched. Thank you.

Spare Bathroom
  • Towel ring fell - The towel ring in the spare bathroom fell off the wall today. It looks like the same kind of old wall anchor was used here as the towel rack we had issues with before.

  • Countertop scratched- Unfortunately, there is a gray mark on the countertop where it fell. Is there anything I can use that might remove the mark without damaging the countertop?

  • Toilet, rocking -  The toilet is uneven and rocking from front to back (not side to side).

I would like to come up with a plan together to address these issues while we are out of the house for the carpet (if that is still what's happening).

Thanks

Tania
