Quarantine Journal - Website update

I talked to Tom for a while today.

Long story short:
Paul is out. Which means Tom is out. Tom told Paul that if he couldn't finish the project, then the right thing to do was to give me my money back. Paul sent it to Tom, and now Tom is waiting for it to clear and will send it back to me.  Paul has also authorized Tom to save off the website and keep any licenses that they had plugged in for me to use indefinitely.

So, business wise, they are terminating the contract and giving me my money.  Tom wants to believe enough work has been done that I can finish out the site myself, but I have informed him that this is not the case. The major items I needed help with: main page layouts, event submission form, and automation, still do not exist.  Tom is going to talk to Paul again after he audits the site and see if there is anything additional that Paul has on these areas that he can provide to act as a road map.

Tom also said he would help me get a list started of exactly what each page still needs so that if we decide I need to hire someone else (I do), they will have a clear idea of what I need.  He knows a couple of guys he can talk to, but not until he fully understands what is left in the scope of the proejct, he says.  One of them he thinks would do a great job, but he doesn't think he does any projects for less than $10K and agrees with me that there is not $10K worth of work in this site.

So that's where I am at. We are backing up and moving the site right now.  I'm going to go through and see what I can plug in and what I need help with once he is done.

I don't feel good about any of this.  I am really struggling with this situation I find myself in. Again.
