Quarantine Journals - Perfectionism

Oliver continues to battle daily with his very high expectations of himself. He gets so frustrated when he struggles to do something like build legos, draw, color a picture, or write. I try to explain the it takes practice and he is very young for these skills, but he does not care.

Today, he was coloring a picture that I thought PENNY had colored, but nope. He just turned a naive corner overnight. He then started drawing letters that I've shown him maybe once, and wrote his first word. Mom.

Penny was so proud of him, she dressed him up, held a ceremony, and presented him with a Super Writer Award. 😂. "Super Wider"
