Quarantine Journals - Fossil Rim

Richard took the day off and we went to
fossil Rim, after much research, mask buying And practicing, etc.

There were porta potties out front, vacant, so we used those and washed up there, on the way in and out of the park.

It wasn't busy at all. Maybe saw 10 other cars the entire time, mostly parked and empty... maybe employees. 5 other families, from afar. Everyone had masks, required to go inside anywhere. We didn't!

The only person we were need was the entrance lady, in a toll booth. I was told she would be wearing a mask... she was not! But, luckily, I found a mask that fits Oliver and he's been practicing and doing great. So we all had masks on before we reached the booth, to use the bathrooms with and everything.

She reached out from the booth to scan the phone and then we left. 30 seconds maybe.

The petting zoo was completely empty. I scanned it and then took them in. We left before anyone else can came by, a family about 20ft away approaching.

Lots of hand washing, hand sanitizer, etc. Everyone did well. Oliver in underwear for the entire time, drive and all.

They are grumpy to still be in the car but I just gave them iPads to get through the last half hour.

We saw lots of animals, but the giraffes were not close enough to feed. Penny and Oliver will be so excited to tell you about it. A much needed escape from home.

Might go again on Monday, since Richard took off, but I don't know. We will see.

The weather was great!
