5th Birthday - Day Of

It is a weird world we live in that this will forever feel like the "vaccine" birthday to me. He's finally turning 5. He can finally get vaccinated.  What an anxious bullshit thing to take over a birthday, but let's focus on the beautiful parts instead...

Wednesday was his actual birthday, and we tried to order chocolate vegan donuts for him, but they never showed up.  So I decided to get out his wacky inflatable guy gift, but it was broken.  UGH.  Nothing was going right and I was so frustrated.  So I got out a different gift, Richard went in late, and we all had waffles and bacon together.  Then we went outside to use his gift, but surprise, it was broken too.  So the kids covered each other in silly string, and then we let him open Amy's gift instead.  She got him a stretchy sonic.  And then Richard brought in work amy's gift, which was m-coins for minecraft.  He was really excited and happy.

For lunch, he chose grilled cheese and for dinner: chicken express. We watched tv shows and played games.  They played with some slime the day before and today they were just really in the zone playing together.  They had a zoom with Emily in the afternoon and played Minecraft.  Then Richard got home and we all had dinner and watched the TV show Oliver picked out.
