Family Drama

To summarize the last few months...

After Debbie agreed to severance and Richard helped that day, Debbie disappeared.  She didn't respond to any emails, texts, etc for several weeks.

We decided to take a vacation and start fresh on the job search when we got back.  I booked us a 7 night stay in Colorado and we started getting ready.

Which we were on vacation, Debbie finally emailed and it was really crappy.  She made a lot of false accusations and blatant lies against Richard, referred to me as "your wife" and said there would be no severance and no health insurance coverage--she had already canceled it.

She did offer to pay for our phones, which she already knew I had paid for and was transferring out because ATT notified her. 

So now Richard is getting absolutely nothing for his 17 years of service at that company.  And we have to figure out how to pay for expensive health insurance and all our other bills with absolutely no severance or income.

Needless to say, that kind of wrecked several days in the vacation. Which is why we extended it.  Because screw her.

We are going on state continuation which means we have to pay DMCA for our health insurance, which surely is gross.

At Oliver's food challenge, there was all sorts of drama because she canceled it anyway.

Two days after we got back from vacation, we found out Richard's grandad passed away.  Didn't even know he had been in the hospital.  Steve called and blurted it out to Richard.  We haven't heard a word from anyone in the family since.  It has been a week.  Amy (receptionist at DMCA) emailed us the service info because no one else thought to share it.
