Quarantine Journals - Fever Returns

Oliver's Fever is back with vengeance.  He didn't sleep well last night, woke up at 7 AM. Richard called me and said hey can I bring him to you, and so he did. Oliver climbed in the bed, and he said he wanted milk, but I told him the milk was still sleeping. We turned on some moshi music and fell back asleep for about 45 to 15 minutes. Then he was up for a while, but Richard let me go back to sleep for a couple of hours. I have been feeling some pretty massive fatigue the last couple of days. When I got up, Oliver was parked in Richard's lap. That was the start of the day, and it didn't really get too much better.  I think Oliver spent all but three hours today nursing. He took a couple of naps without the bed, and then dozed on and off on the bed pretty much all day long. He asked for skin to skin again, and so we did that for most of the day. His temperature is been hanging out at about 101. He feels so hot to me. And the minute that he latches on, his eyes are rolling around in his head. He didn't get down on the floor and play, or really even walk lunch today.

There was a period of time after maybe his third nap that he wanted to walk outside and see what Richard and Penny were doing. He helped Richard finish up the raised garden bed that we had purchased, and then it was back inside for more nursing. I was able to get him done last long enough for me to eat dinner, and then for the last part of a movie. He went to bed with me, but he really wanted Richard. Richard came and got him about an hour later when Richard was ready for bed, and I got up and ate and drank and played some animal crossing for a bit. I think I've drank over 300 of ounces of water today, but it doesn't seem to matter. I still feel dehydrated, and I'm sure all that breast-feeding is part of why.

Penni set up an extravagant party in animal crossing for us to all attend today, and it was very cute and enjoyable. I feel bad that her activity is somewhat limited because I'm taking care of Oliver and Richard is working, but she's mostly just worried about Oliver and wanting to help. She such a sweet big sister all the time.

As far as symptoms go, I can tell that his throat is bothering him. His temperature has been right around 101, and he's got a dry cough that is coming and going intermittently today. He says ow a lot and I'm not sure if our hands are just cold on his very very hot body, or if his body is actually hurting. he has said that he's feeling dizzy multiple times the last few days, but I honestly don't know if he's actually feeling dizzy or if that's just a new word that he's picked up. I know he knows what it means because we talked about him being dizzy after he spun around on the swing a bunch, and it is worrisome to think that he spent most of today feeling that way. But I am hoping it's like him saying he scared… I think sometimes he's feeling some kind of emotion and he just doesn't know what word to put to it.

Unfortunately, I've been having a lot of post nasal drainage, a headache, massive fatigue, and now I'm starting to cough too. I assume this must be coronavirus, but Richard doesn't think so. His answers seem to get less and less confident as the days go by, though.  we know one thing for sure: it's not allergies, and it's not teeth.

Penni and Richard seem to be feeling fine. She finished her schoolwork up quickly and was excited to play with him outside earlier. But, she quickly got too hot as it was already 90 something degrees. I hope to put the pool outside and let them splash around or run in the sprinklers or play with our reusable water balloons, and I can't imagine Oliver is going to feel up to doing any of those things anytime soon. I guess we will see what tomorrow brings. Following are true pattern, I imagine he will be feeling better just about the time that I'm feeling awful.

Oh, a funny story from yesterday that I forgot to share. Yesterday, when we were outside, our party neighbors had a pizza delivered. ‪Penny chased a papa john's car down the street yesterday.  Oliver was standing here yelling HEY! Hey! I WANT THAT PIZZA!

And ona last, somewhat related note, I've started doing a art share on DFW craft shows with Art and messages of encouragement created during Covid - 19
